After a meeting held on Monday at the headquarters PCUD, the National Front for the Defence of the Constitution (FNDC) hinted that the struggle it has engaged, since its creation on April 3, 2019, has just won its first decisive battle with the release of the leaders of the movement after more than a month and a half of imprisonment.
In a statement that sanctioned the meeting, the NDFC through its interim coordinator Fonike Mengue demanded the immediate and unconditional release of all those who are still “unjustly imprisoned” throughout the country.
According to the FNDC, the release of Abdourahamane Sanoh and
his colleagues is only one step that will lead to the final objective: ” That of preventing the tampering of our constitution ”.
Believing that it is faced with a power that persists in wanting to continue its “disastrous project” of changing the constitution, the FNDC decides to intensify its actions to mobilize citizens to denounce all the plots intended to grant a third term to President Alpha Condé.
It announced that the protest march originally scheduled for December 3 was postponed to Tuesday, December 10, 2019 across the country.
But before that, it will organize, on Friday, December 6, the funeral of the victims of the deadly violence which occurred in Conakry on November 14th. While presenting its condolences to all the bereaved families, the FNDC launched a big mobilization to accompany these martyrs to their last homes.
Finally, it invites the people of Guinea to mobilize to participate in the next demonstrations that will be held throughout the national territory.
