7-year-old boy lynched and set on fire in Lagos for stealing cassava flour.


The crowd action took place at the Alafiya bus stop in Orile area of Lagos State. The victim was suspected to be a member of notorious robbery gang in the area. Some Witnesses have discharged claim that the victim was a child, but an adult in his 20’s.

A seven-year-old boy was set on fire in Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria, for supposedly attempting to steal cassava flour, locally known as garri.

The yet to be identified boy was allegedly caught while trying to steal from a shop.

He was reportedly tied up and set ablaze by the angry mob.

Stones were hauled at him. Blood could be seen flowing from his head.

The terrific crowd put tire on him and set him on fire.

This situation occurred in a country where people who steal billions are free and celebrated.
